Subject: Euro Resolution on Nagaland
Dear Mr. Dupuis:
I am a cousin of Mr. Zing Zing Shishak and have been involved with the Nagaland Home Page. It is therefore with great interest that I heard of you and your colleagues' intention to table a resolution in the European Parliament on Nagaland. I commend your efforts, and strongly believe that such an action by the European community, if well-intentioned (as it seems to be) and worded, will encourage the movement towards an honourable and just settlement in Nagaland.
Your e-mail to my cousin invited his input on the matter, and I would like to ask your permission to share some of my thoughts with you as well. As a Naga (although my mother is American) who lived most of his life in Nagaland, attended boarding school in India, and who remains concerned with the situation in that part of the world, I feel qualified to comment on this issue. If you would be open to my input, kindly reply to this e-mail, and I will write back.
Yours truly,
Wungram Shishak
