Dear Olivier,

I received your fax about the resolution on Nagaland and tried to reach you by phone, without succes. Therefore I am replying by fax.

It is not the policy of Amnesty International to lobby against resolutions - therefore I have no idea what you are referring to. I am very sorry if people have mentioned this, but don't know where it comes from, neither does Brigitte who was in Strasbourg last week.

I hope this will not happen again, as it is certainly not our intention neither does it contribute to the work for respect for human rights (which is what you aimed at in your resolution).
