RESS INVITATION
The SAR Government's
Emasculation of the Bill of Rights
The SAR Government has introduced a bill to the Provisional Legislative Council to repeal the provisions in the Hong Kong Bill of Rights Ordinance.
The Bill will probably has its Seconding and Third Readings this Wednesday.
The attempt is a serious attack on human rights protection in Hong Kong.
This is particular serious as it is done in spite of Article 39 of the Basic Law.
The Monitor will hold a press conference on the issue. You are invited to cover the conference. The details of the press conference are as follows:
