To the attention of the editor of "The Independent"
Dear Rosie Boycott,
It is with pleasure that I get in touch with you again after meeting in London during the successful conference about drugs you organized.
Emma Bonino told me about the warm meeting you had in London; she keeps on being very attentive about antiprohibitionism in Europe, and she is consequently very interested in the developements of the march for depenalization of cannabis planned for the 28th of March. We are really delighted to see that you are organizing such a big and important event. As you know, we are extremely concerned with drugs issues, and we are looking forward to participate to the march. In particular, my party colleague Mr Olivier Dupuis, MEP ans Secretary General of the transnational Radical Party, would like very much to come to London on our behalf, in order to finalize the best way of our participation, with Riccardo Mosca, a councillor of Mme Bonino, and having a meeting with you and Ms Debbie Ellis. They would suggest next week on Wednesday; of course they remain at your entire disposal for the timetable and, eventually, for any change of date.
We are very much convinced that a strong European delegation should come to the march, and in that respect we could try to bring there as many MEPs as possible: as you know, we are the sponsors of an antiprohibitionist intergroup in the EP. Furthermore, we could help you to "internationalize" the march by organizing an "European anti-prohibitionist delegation" of supporters from Italy, Belgium and France for the occasion. Marco Pannella, our party leader and founder of the antiprohibitionist movement in Italy and Europe, has expressed great interest in participating too.
Tank you for the kind attention, looking forward to get information for the meeting on Wednesday,
Best regards,
Gianfranco Dell'Alba
