Dear Afrim,

Greetings from Miami, even though you don't like this country a lot, we don't have any other option than to be in exile. I hope I could invite you one day to visit Cuba but we are still in the process of liberation.

I am writing to you to thank you for everything you do on behalf of the Cuban people. Taking you up on your word of working more actively in the European community and parliament, I would like to let you know that we are prepared to begin in Brussels with a presentation of the Agreement for Democracy at the European Parliament. You know that the Agreement for Democracy is an un- precedent document signed recently by Cuban oppossition organization inside and outside the Island. It is a very brief document (you have a copy) that has the the principles for which the Cuban opposition is fighting for and the basis of a real transition to democracy.

It marks the first time that the Cuban opposition has achieved a broad consenus on what the basic principles for change and transition should be, and it is right now being disseminated inside and outside Cuba. We need your support in order to strengthen this agenda for change of the Cuban people. I don't know what the possibility is of doing this presentation there in the next months, but I would like to know which will be the process, and the possibilities to do so. That will be a good opportunity to gather support signatures for this agreement and to begin a new approach about Cuban reality at that important audience.

I know you must be tired, as I am, after the Geneva session, but precisely because the voting went against the codemnation of Cuban regime as a violator od human rights we have to begin working quickly on the possible presentation of the Agreement. I would like to know your opinion and advice on this as soon as you possibly can.

Well friend, it was really a pleasure for us all to meet you at Geneva, and I hope we keep in touch. I just sent a message to Olga.
