Thank you for your letter regarding the decision to abolish or suspend the death penalty.

I am very much in favour of a universal moratorium on capital executions. Nothing can be solved in taking a person's life for the crimes he or she has committed in the past.

Please let me know if there is any more myself, or the Alliance Party can do. Matt Robson is our party's Foreign Affairs and Justice spokesperson and may be able to help you in future endeavours.
