This is to let you know that I have handed over the charge of this Bureau to Mr. Tashi N. Phuntsok as of today, May 20, 1998. Mr. Tashi Phuntsok has been with the Department of Finance, Central Tibetan Administration as the Secretary and before that he was Secretary at the Department of Home, before that he had worked at this Bureau for a number of years. I am, therefore, confident that this office is in good hands.

As you know, I have until now been managing both the Departments of Information and International Relations and the Bureau of H.H. the Dalai Lama in Delhi. Henceforth, I will be in Dharamsala at the Department of Information and International Relations. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for your kind cooperation and help in carrying out my task.
