Re:Universal moratorium on the death penalty

DearSir,

With reference to your letter of 12 May 1998, 1 want to assure you that the Czech Republic, as a country steadfastly sponsoring the HRC resolution on the abolition of the death penalty, will continue to work for universal abolition of the death penalty. In this spirit, we are ready to join the group of states that will co-sponsor such resolution in this year's session of the United General Assembly.
