I am writing to express our deepest gratitude and admiration for your support on behalf of our efforts to join a regional group in the United Nations. As you point out so eloquently, Israel remains the single nation denied membership in such group, which renders us the only member state that is not equally represented in United Nations bodies.

We therefore deeply appreciate the powerful request you sent to the members of the western European and Others Group to change this injustice. We hope this sort of activism will help turn the tide of sentiment at the UN towards equal participation for all members. In any event, your message will be recorded as a noble voice for justice and fairness where they were otherwise lacking.
