We inform you that on the 29-31 March, 1999, in Tbilisi will hold the International Conference, dedicated to the memory and 60th anniversary of the first President of the Republic of Georgia, Dr. ZVIAD K. GAMSAKHURDIA.

Main themes of the Conference: 1) Human Rights and Basic Freedoms in Georgia (1992-1999), 2) Life and activities of Dr. Zviad K. Gamsakhurdia (1939-1993).

Organizers: the National Section of Georgia of the International Society for Human Rights (ISHR-IGFM), the Tbilisi Working Group of the Netherlands Helsinki Union (NHU), the Zviad Gamsakhurdia Society in the Netherlands, the Konstantine Gamsakhurdia Society, the Movement "Chkondideli", the Editorial Staff of the Independent Newspaper "Adamianis Uplebebi" ("Human Rights") and the Editorial Staff of the Independent Newspaper "Tvaltai".

Deadline for registration (registration fee - 50 USD): February 28, 1999.

Deadline for Abstracts (1,5 - 2 pp.): March 5, 1999.
