Dear Mr. Dupuis,

I address you on behalf of the Democratic Party of Albanians, to express our gratitude for your immense and overwhelming assistance in promoting the issue of Mayors and Chairman of Municipal Councils of Tetove and Gostivar.

The adoption of the resolution of the European Parliament requesting the Macedonian authorities to confront the issue of imprisonment of Rufi Osmani, Alajdin Demiri, Vehbi Bexheti and Refik Dauti had the greatest effect. It expressed the international support and gave the impulse to the will of the new governmental coalition for pragmatic solving of the inter-ethnic problems in multiethnic Macedonia, which was reflected in adoption of the amnesty law.

I believe that our cooperation on issue of mutual interest will produce further successes, toward more liberal, democratic and prosperous societies.
