Hello everyone,
I applaud you for the causes that you endose and support, and I too, believe that the hand of oppression, no matter what form it comes in, must be abolished. However, when I read the list of causes that you have made, I am quite alarm by the items that were not listed. For example,
I am aware that Tibet is forcibly/clandestinely being integrated by the Chinese Communist government, destroying both their nationality and their culture. I can't help but to think of the comparison to Apartheid South Africa, where innocent people are taken and removed from their land, family, and people, as well as their human rights removed. What I am alarmed by your list is that, you did not include the abolition of the oppressive Israeli government (NOTE: I said government, not the nation itself. Like Tibet, if it were given autonomy, I would support that too.) Everyday, thousands of Palestinians are beaten up, tortured, and brutalized by the so called "Israeli Security Force," unexplained disappearances of Palestinian citizens, and of course, blockading any movement for an independent Palestinian state. Personally, I am appalled by how LITTLE attention this subject had been given priority. We can't in clear conscience ignore this injustice made by the tyrannical Israeli government's p
olicy against the Palestinians. After all, you think after suffering a great injustice inflicted against them (I am referring to the Holocaust, of course,) you would think they would know better. (The Israeli government.) Unless we are so controlled by U.S. foreign policies, I guess I may be a lone voice in the sea of oppressionist-collaborators. I hope I am wrong.
Speaking of war crimes, I done a lot of research on the Atrocity committed in China by the Japaneses during World War II. I understand that the stories were somewhat discouraged and denied by the Western powers because of the so called "Cold War," and the atrocities were denied in the schools, so we have an entire generation of people in the West who are not aware of this black spot in human history. I applaud the effort by the people around the world to make sure that the victims of the Holocaust were not forgotten. Should it be time that we should put aside our petty political differences and strike a blow to oppression and information censorship? Let the truth be known.
Last but not least, despite the recent grant of Nunavut to the indigenous people of the Canadian Arctic, I think it is time that we should accelerate this process of Aboriginal Self-Rule, North American, South American, and Austrailian.
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you.
Your truly,
Cameron.
