Dear Mr. Giang,

First of all I wish to thank you for your letter dated June 20, 1999 in which you informed me about your liberation from the prison. That was a very good news that let us hope in the possibility of political changes in Vietnam.

Unfortunately I have learnt that you are still under the strict surveillance of the police, that you can not move freely in your country and that some of your relatives have had problems with their job.

On behalf of all the members and friends of the Transnational Radical Party, I want to encourage you not to relent your fight for democracy and freedom for Vietnam. I am convinced that the Vietnamese people as a whole, joins you in this fight for human rights and the Rule of Law.

I hope to learn soon some good news from you.
