Ecco la replica ad una mia risposta data ad una richiesta di info da parte di un italo-inglese
Dear Marco
I think there are alot of interesting things going on with your group. It
is a very interesting group which shares many of my beliefs.
But I feel that I need to be part of something connected to the Italian
community in Britain especially with the generation of us, born and raised
in Britain of Italian parentage. That is the reason why I wanted to find
out about the liberal/libertarian parties because in Britain there are only
two Italian communities, one run by the church, the other by the old
communist party/the new left. Both are interested in their ideological
views of Italy and therefore ideological views of the Italian community in
Britain. Of course they have every right to do so but many people of
Italian parentage in Britain are interested in culture handed down by the
founding fathers of liberalism which built Italy and developing a more
modernised community, rather than certain ideological views which are not
based on the real heritage. I am interested in helping to create a modern
Italian community in Britain so as to cater for the new generations of
British Italians as well as any immigrants from Italy. It is not to say
that the church and the left cannot be integrated into a new modern
community, on the contrary they can. There is so much that can be done but
whether it be technology, a website for British Italians which I hope to
produce in due course, new groups for British Italians based around
education and prosperity etc. Nothing can really be achieved as long as
the church and the left control the Italian community in Britain, leaving
many of us out in the cold when it comes to being part of a ethnic
community. I was hoping to find political groups with clout who would be
interested in helping to create a more modernised Italian community in
Britain.
Regards Joe
