As per our letter of 3 July 2000, please find herewith attached a copy of the section of the Report of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations (part II) which focuses on the consideration of the of special reports and in particular paragraphs 104 to 200 of the report, related to your organization. The text of this part of the Report contains and constitutes the written reasons for the Committee's recommendation to ECOSOC regarding your consultative status.

Pursuant to paragraph 56 of ECOSOC resolution 1996/31, the organization having been given written reasons for the decision taken by the Committee "shall have an opportunity to present its response for appropriate consideration by the Committee as expeditiously as possible". Consequently, I would appreciate it if your organization could submit your response by 18 July 2000 in order to allow the Committee to review it during the following week.
