Dear Olivier,

Thank you very much for your letters and the copy of the EU resolution

which arrived here while I was away.

The resolution was very positive and objective and I thank you and all

others for your efforts in having such a resolution passed. I hope the

European Parliament will seriously consider the implementation of the

resolution, if no concrete action was taken by the Chinese Government

after three years.

I hope there is some positive change regarding your party's status at the

UN. Do keep in touch.
