It's my extremely pleasure to address you this letter, having the possibility to share with you the successful process of Albania's accession to WTO.

As you are aware, on July 17, during the ceremony of signing the protocol of accession in Geneva, I had the opportunity to fulfill the very professional and patriotic mission of my duty.

I also have the honor to thank you for the creative work assisting, supporting and accompanying us to achieve completion of our bilateral accession negotiations as quickly as possible. It is true that despite the difficulties experienced by us during this process, Albania has come through this stronger for it.

From the other side I emphasize how valuable your contribution has been during the process.

Also I would like to share another very good news regarding this big event of my country.

I am very pleased to inform you that the Protocol Package with Albania's terme of its accession, was adopted by the Plenary Session of Albania's Parliament according to the Law Nr 9649 date 28 July 2000 on "Ratification of the Protocol of Accession of Albania to the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization". This package was unanimity voted by all members of the Parliament, which represents the high national responsability to be a real part of the world trade family and fully engaged for its integration with dignity.
