On Saturday morning (Oct 7) a mailing has been sent to all the 450 members of the State Duma + 35 members of the Moscow City Duma + 50 members of Moscow Regional Duma, containing letter signed by Olivier and me and appeal ECOSOC. We expect MPs will receive this letter tomorrow.

Yesterday and today I tried to contact by phone "our friends in the State Duma": Sergej Kovalev, Julij Rybakov and Sergej Popov (the letters and text of appeal has been sent to them earlier by fax). Popov and Rybakov are now at home in St. Petersburg (till now we failed to get their home phones there). While Popov will come back Moscow tomorrow and therefore there is a hope to reach him tomorrow in then Duma, Rybakov perhaps will stay in St. Petersburg till Thursday. The attempts to find him by phone in St. Petersburg will be continued tomorrow. Kovalev's location is still unclear, tonight and tomorrow we will try again.
