As for today, two members of the State Duma have signed the Appeal to ECOSOC: Sergej Kovalev and Julij Rybakov.
We also got by fax a signature from Irina Rukova, member of the Moscow City Duma (a regional parliament). It means that our mailing to members of the State Duma, Moscow City Duma and Moscow Regional Duma reached its destination.
Unfortunately, Sergej Kovalev will not be present in Moscow on Tuesday, Oct 17 due to participation in a conference in Prague. It means that our manifestation in front of foreign ministry will pass without him.
As for Rybakov, he signed the ECOSOC appeal (telling at the same time that he still will not join the party). He also will be out of Moscow on Tuesday Oct 17 - he will be in Ingushetia and Chechnya. Although I didn't managed to speak yet with Rukova, Kovalev's and Rybakov's absense in Moscow makes unuseful a hypothesis of a press conference. As for the manifestation, we will do it in any case (and we will try to send photos as soon as possible in order to put them on the web).
Another very important thing: Rybakov told he is agree to present a formal question to foreign minister, asking us to give him the text. The text has been sent tonight by e-mail and tomorrow morning I will check the situation in Duma, whether he will be able to table it duting the tomorrow's plenary. The english text of the question should be ready tomorrow.Meanwhile, Alena Asaeva is continuing to call all MPs one by one pressing them to give response to our appeal, her report would be posted separately.
