ABSTRACT: The text of the resolution proposed by the Radical Party delegation was unanimously approved at the International Human Rights Conference in Cracow : to constitute a parliamentary "intergroup" within the European Parliament, to be speaker for the movements for Human Rights in the Eastern European countries, and especially for Solidarnosc.

The Conference on Human Rights affirms the need for a speaker and a forum in the European Parliament for those movements committed to the struggle for human rights. This is the precise aim of the initiative to set up an intergroup within the European Parliament, consisting in representatives of all parties and of all nationalities, which would operate as "technical speaker" for human rights movements in the Eastern European countries, and first and foremost, Solidarnosc.

The intergroup would be committed to directly transferring - without any interference or political control - to the European Parliament, whatever the movements might deem necessary. The requests would be transferred from the movements through the nomination of their own representatives in the intergroup.
