ABSTRACT: In order to fight the Leviathan of violence and intolerance, we need to support supernational political initiatives capable of overcoming the current division in the world between science and power, between knowledge and political decision-making.

The aim of the Radical Party is to organize the action of those people who believe it is absolutely necessary to deal with the problems relating to the safeguard of the ecosystem, and to the right to life and the life of rights, at a transnational level, and to do so immediately. In order to so this we must act and organize ourselves.

In countries that promote civil rights, liberty, and a just legal system, there is a growing division between science and power, between culture and government and between the ruling classes and a new "third state" consisting of men and women with their hopes and fears. Politics seems increasingly ill-equipped to conceive of the future opportunities and requirements that will ensure a better and safer life, preserve the environment, protect civil and democratic traditions and realise the reforms needed for the next century. There are new horizons to be aimed for, perhaps a new era to represent: there is perhaps a party which can do all this.

Are there men and women who feel the need to join together on some of the objectives proposed by the Radical Party, whatever the dramatic situations they are having to face? Whether as the result of passion, tragic circumstances, or opportunism, the minds and the consciences of people are taken up with national issues, which means there is a failure to grasp the wider issues of the world.

Our priority, the priority of the Radical Party, is the constitution of a nonviolent, transnational body capable of identifying areas for joint initiative outside the realms of individual states.

There is a common feeling in the world, the feeling of the majority or of vast minorities, which is represented by the things we are proposing: the salvation of the ecosystem, of the air, the oceans and the rivers, the earth; federalism - lay and libertarian, democratic, liberal-democratic and liberal-socialist; support for anti-prohibitionist drugs policies in order to destroy the criminal power of the traffickers, who already control directly or influence a number of sovereign states around the world; disarmament, the progressive dismantling of the arms industry, with the gradual affirmation of the theory and the practice of anti-militarism; respect, all over the world, for the right to life, in order, above all, to prevent the famine and poverty in the south of the world which the opulence of the north has produced; respect for the life of rights, the affirmation and the defence of the law, in order to restore the fundamental rights of individuals and entire populations, in Asia, Africa, or Latin America,

who continue to suffer under ferocious and criminal dictatorships.

Politically, it is a mistake to concentrate on national issues to the detriment of these values and objectives.

Whilst all other parties ask for support, understandably but not rightly, on the basis of policies which seek exclusively to respond to the problems of their own countries, the Radical Party offers a different kind of instrument which u2e. seems to ignore current issues in order to defend a different kind of issue on all fronts: the transnational nature of the political body, the affirmation, here and now, through nonviolent action, of its ideas and its project.

Adhesion to the Radical Party project is direct: those who want to, whether they be Ministers, parliamentarians, or ordinary citizens, wherever they may be, can join this transnational transparty, and help to give it the strength to carry forward its ideas.
