John Costanzo, head of DEA, was interviewed by "Il Sole 24 Ore". Are the Italian organizations out of the market?
The mafia has been dealt a severe blow, but is is not knocked out: it has simply received a bad blow. I have been a pessimist for the past 24 years, in practice ever since I started working at DEA, because I witness the constant rise of the drugs business. The only thing I'm really mot worried about is losing my job. My Italian colleagues, instead, are generally more optimistic.
What will be the effects of the elimination of the various bosses, Riina, Madonia, Alfieri?
The drug business won't stop. Does IBM stop simply because the board of directors is removed?
