(St.Petersburg, February 22) - The public assembly of members and supporters of the Radical Party and Anti-militarist Radical Association (ARA) with participation of activists of Friends of Tibet Society and Soldiers' Mothers Association has taken place in the House of Democratic Russia on Izmajlovskij avenue. There were about 40 participators of the meeting, including Nikolaj Khramov, coordinator of Radical Party in Russia and secretary of ARA; Margarita Kozhevnikova, secretary of Friends of Tibet Society St. Petersburg; Fedor Chub, coordinator of Radical Party in St. Petersburg and member of General Council of ARA; Ella Poljakova, chairperson of Soldiers' Mothers Association in St. Petersburg.

The basic subjects of the discussion were two campaigns currently conducted by Radicals in Russia: for freedom of Tibet and democracy in China, as well as for the immediate passing the conscientious objection bill and to defend the civil rights of Russian conscientious objectors.
