(Moscow, July 28, 1997) -- A news conference dedicated to the Nikolaj Mozhzhukhin's case and, more generally, to the violations of conscientious objectors during the last draft campaign, has been organized today by the Anti-militarist Radical Association in Russian American Press & Information Center.
Among the participants of the news conference were: Nikolaj Khramov, secretary of ARA; Vadim Hesse, member of ARA secretariat, conscientious objector; Sergej Sorokin, member of ARA secretariat; Konstatin Petukhov, member of ARA, conscientious objector from Kaluga; Ruslan Bikbov, a conscientious objector recently kidnapped by militaries but unlike Mozhzhukhin, released after interference of ARA.
Among the mass media presented on the news conference were: Radio Junost, Radio Liberty, Radio Russia, TV Center, Uchitelskaja Gazeta, ASI, Radio Mayak, Interfax, Express Chronicle, Cerkovnyj Obscestvennyj Vestnik (Church Public Messenger).
