Dear Nikolaj,
thank you very much for your reply. I recall here the developmnets of the European Campaign agaomst Cpnscription.
1. We formulated the short manifesto of the campaign:
Stop conscription in Europe now!
We demand the abolition of conscription in all European countries!
The campaign is open for any organization or individual to join.

/"We" means here the two contact organizations:
/Contact:
-JogegyenlosThetag Egyesulet -Organiztion for Equal Rights, (Subotica, Yugoslavia), T/F: 381-2453801,
- Hadkotelezettseget Ellenzok Ligaja -League aganinst Conscription (Budapest, Hungary), T/F: 36- 1- 3326109/
We also formulated a longer background text referring to the anti-consription manifestos in 1920-30s signed by famous European intellectuals, and to Yugoslavia, and to the present European progress. This text was planned to be temporary, any joining organization cah modify it.
2. On 19th March a press conference was organized in Budapest and in Beograd.
We listed the organizations having joined the campaign.
Hungary:
Alba Kor /Alba Circle -Nonviolent Peace Mouvement/
Bokor Kozosseg /Bokor Community/
BOCS Alapitvany /BOCS Foundation/
Church and Peace Group of Hungary
Eroszakellenes Forum - Anti-violence Forum

Zold Nok - Green Women

Yugoslavia
The press conference was organized by
Humanitarian Law Center,
and the political party Association of Hungarians in Vojvodina

3. Since then we tried to collect supports from other countries. Our proclamation was published in Germany /KDV in Krieg/. I do not know any other news from abroad.

The campaign was planned to be a network with no centre, no specific rules. The only condition for joiners: to sign the above short manifest.

To tell the truth we have a strong anti-conscription mouvement in Hungary, but we have only a few activists and very restricted means to establish foreign contacts. I am a physicist by profession and have restricted free time.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
As you see the aims of our campaign is a realistic but very restricted one. Our anti-militarists and pacifists consider our restricted aim as a first step they joined to the anti-conscription mouvement on this base.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
That is all what I know presently.
I am waiting for your reply. Please tell me something about your organization.

Best wishes Henrik
