On Saturday, November 8, the public assembly of members and supporters of the Radical Party and Antimilitarist Radical Association (ARA) will take place in Andrey Sakharov Museum.

The meeting begins at 3.00 PM, registration from 2.30 PM.

Address of the Museum: ul. Zemljanoj Val 56, building 2. Metro station "Chkalovskaja", then by walk across Zemljanoj Val towards the Jauza river, a building on the left side in the park.

There are among others following issues in the agenda of the meeting:

* results of General Council of the ARA (Moscow, September 20

and 21, 1997);

* antimilitarist initiatives to undertake within nearest time in

the framework of Civil Obedience Campaign for passing the

alternative civilian service law;

* actions for consolidation of all antimilitarist political

forces;

* elections to the Moscow City Duma on December 14;

* campaign in defense of Alina Vitukhnovskaya, poetess and

journalist, Radical Party member, who has been taken in prison

again on the accusation in "drug spreading" falsified by the

FSB, as well as antiprohibitionist initiatives against the new

reactionary draft law on narcotic substances and

psychotropics.
