Moscow, September 14, 1999 - On Thursday, September 16, the criminal trial of Ivan Kovalev will take place at Intermunicipal Court Tushinskii of Moscow, Kovalev is accused of evading military and alternative civilian service (art. 328 of the Russian Criminal Code). Ivan Kovalev is a member of the ARA. In 1998 he conscientiously objected and applied for the alternative civilian service, according to Art. 59.3 of the Russian Constitution.
