Today Russian officials have criticized the deputies to the State Duma who carried out the negotiations with the representatives of the Chechen parliament elected in 1997. These deputies were the representatives of the faction "Union of the Right Forces" headed by Boris Nemtsov. Sergey Yastrzhembsky, the aid to the president, in his interview to the "Interfax" has said that they hadn't the Kremlin's mandate to carry out the negotiations.
