Today the ARA secretary Nikolay Khramov commented upon the results of the voting in Strasbourg concerning the question of powers of Russian parliamentary delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for Spanish information agency EFE:

"The members of the PACE by yesterday's voting in Strasbourg for the restorarion of powers of Russian delegation virtually betrayed not only those who are being killed daily in Chechnya, not only those who fight in Russia against the war and the militarist regime, but also the European human rights standarts themselves which, as it is stated in the documents of the All-Russian human rights Congress that took place last week-end, are reduced now to the level of today's Russia".
