Reply to Giancarlo Arnao, President of the CORA's scientific committee.

1. The discussion at the CORA Assembly proved to what extent the psychopolitical reasons that induced Giancarlo not to participate in it were incorrect. From the beginning, owing also to my announcement of Giancarlo's decision in the introductory speech, the subject of the relations between the CORA and the Radical Party has been fundamental in the discussion. In his rally on divorce, Pannella himself replied to Roberta Tatafiore, who had brought the problem up already in the first assembly statement.

I personally believe that the political crux of the problem is neither the one concerning the relations between the Cora and the Radical Party nor that of the presence of Antiprohibitionist Lists at the elections, but the following: whether the existence of a "radical" antiprohibitionist association enables many people, who represent a tiny minority in their parties, or who have no other possibilities of aggregation, to take part in the antiprohibitionist campaign. Or if the existence of a radical aggregation hinders the emergence of a communist, green, socialist, Catholic or lay antiprohibitionist reality. I believe in the truth of the first hypothesis, but I would have no hesitations in suggesting the dissolution of the Cora if I were to convince myself of the second hypothesis. As for the Radical Party, in my opinion it is the party of the major battles for civil liberties, the legal state, justice and democracy. It is for this reason that I chose it 15 years ago and that I continue to choose it.

2. The LIA. The problem is how to organize it and with what funds. I don't believe there is a clash between a culture of exchange of creative ideas (ethics of conviction?) and the culture of professional politicians (ethics of responsibility? - anti-ethics of power?). The practical difficulties jeopardize the existence of an organization of this kind, extremely expensive because of its transnational character.

3.1. We know nothing, we can everything = abuse of power.

3.2. We know everything, we can nothing = abuse of knowledge?
