Fiorenzi Massimiliano - 5 agosto 1992
Italy, Roma, 7.6.92 - To die in prison.

Last 6th June, around 11 p.m., a prisoner died in the clinic of "Regina Coeli" prison. His name was Stefano Belli, 30 ys. old, imprisoned 3 days before as "drug addict", suffering abstinence crisis. Soon he was put in segregation, while cell fellows - where he had been put previously - protested: they saw that Stefano was hardly breathing, it wasn't only an abstinence crisis. But management didn't hear. On 6th June, after the talk with his relatives, Stefano suddenly swooned and asked for a doctor: the answer was: "Talk is ended!" He asked for his cell fellows, for an aid: "After!" was the answer. At 4 p.m., a guard called the doctor, who came after several minutes; a very short examination, then Stefano was left alone again in the cell. At 11 p.m., guards finally carried Stefano, fainted, out of the cell; another doctor tried to massage the heart, but the face was already white, the eyes wide open. Late came the stretcher: Stefano was died. All prisoners of the cells nearby are ready

to witness all that happened, when judges and members of the Parliament will hear them.
