First time after 5 last years the death sentence was executed in Georgia. Death sentences, Postfactum agency reports, were passed against seven recidivist criminals for assassinations and robbery.

Apart of it, death penalty is supposed to be introduced in Georgia for drug traffic. Draft law providing capital punishment for drug traffic was tabled into Georgian Supreme Council by parliamentarian commission on legal affairs. According to some sources, there are more than 300,000 drug users in the country (Georgia's population counts 5 millions).
