The new OCTA'99 petition will soon be cleared for official circulation. It's crucial that we have enough experienced activists throughout the state to train and support the hundreds of volunteer petitioners who are willing to help. (Note: There will be another OCTA'99 organizing meeting hosted by the Corvallis Hemp Club later in the month, please call after the 1st for details.)

Drug Peace/Harm Reduction Zone: Mon-Fri, 4-6p.m., SE 38th & Hawthorne in Portland. Needle exchange, encourage smarter/safer drug use, HIV & STD prevention materials, peer counselling, and addict organizing.
Volunteers and sponsors always needed, internships available.
Portland Saturday (and Sunday too) Market: March - December, this is the league's 5th consecutive year in the "non-profit" area of the market (the parking lot adjacent to the inbound MAX stop). Weather permitting. Voter registration, petitions, latest OCTA'99 information.
Jury Power: Every Monday in Portland at Multnomah County Courthouse (1021 SW 4th), 9a.m.-noon. Call for more information.
Portland NORML: 4th Wednesday at League office, 7:30p.m. Monthly business meeting of the local chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. The public is welcome.
