L'idea e' di creare una mobilitazione telematica di massa per la

concreta affermazione di elementari principi di universale civilta' giuridica.

Coloro che sono inseriti in altre liste o accedono a Reti civiche o

a BBS sono invitati a far circolare l'appello, in modo che il governo

del "Paradiso Terrestre" possa essere opportunamente "bombardato".

Come potrete constatare l'appello e' estremamente moderato; ma si

tratta di facilitare la liberazione di due persone innocenti.

APPEAL FOR THE RELEASE OF TWO ITALIAN CITIZENS

(to be sent to the Government of the Maldive State)

Two italian citizens, Davide Grasso and Stefano Ghio, for some

time now have been imprisoned by the Maldive State.

They have been sentenced to life imprisonment on the ground of

acts that in Italy and in many countries are not crimes at all:

the possession of one gramme of hashish and four cannabis-seeds.

The Maldives every day welcome thousands of people from every

country in the world (particularly Italian visitors who represent

26% of all tourism).

For this reason the Maldive Government should recognize common,

juridical principles: a fair trial and the appropriate punishment.

In order that humanity's common sense may prevail, I invite the

Authorities of this State to release Davide Grasso and Stefano Ghio

as soon as possible and let them spend next Christmas with their

families.
