BC FISH TALKS/EU, Canada try to fill last gaps in fish accord

BRUSSELS, April 7 (Reuter) The European Commission and
Canada were due to resume talks on Friday to overcome Spanish
suspicions and complete a draft accord to end a bitter fisheries
row in the North Atlantic.
Fisheries Commissioner Emma Bonino hinted on Thursday that
after an "accident" in which a Canadian patrol boat cut the nets
of a Spanish trawler off Newfoundland on Wednesday, hopes had
faded of finalising the accord by Monday.
