THE SIN OF "EARLY WORKS"
Despite public silence we have learned that Mme Bonino is on a "blacklist" here, on which she was placed because she had earlier made "utterly irresponsible anti-Serb statements, and attacked Serbs in the foreign press, particularly the Italian"

Belgrade - Emma Bonino, European Union Commissioner for humanitarian aid, has made a three-day visit to the former Yugoslav republics, but was left without an interlocutor from official Belgrade. For the first time, it was emphasized, since she took up her function, the authorities of a state which needed humanitarian aid did not receive her for talks.
She addressed Minister Aleksa Jokic, president of the republican Emergency Headquarters for reception of refugees, and Vladimir Sultanovic, responsible in the Federal Foreign Mini, try for cooperation with organizations involved in refugee matters. Emma Bonino received a double "no".
In the Serbian Government yesterday, no-one was prepareS to speak publicly, and some made out that Minister Jokic was "out of the building at meetings all day".
Despite the public silence, we have learned from reliabLe sources that Mme Bonino is on a "blacklist" here. She was put on it for certain "early works". As explained to us, she had made "utterly irresponsible anti-Serb statements, attacked Serbs in the foreign press, particularly the Italian". Emma Bonino, it is considered, is a woman who does not understand what is going on here.
Nevertheless, why did the meetings not take place? Our interlocutors, who insisted on anonymity, told us that in the past fifteen days they have received more than 25 representatives of various organizations with whom everything has proceeded smoothly enough. They assert that they are working hard and that the job is going well but, again, they say that they do not forget the "early works" of Emma Bonino And thus they do not receive her.
NASA BORBA also learned yesterday that the European Union mission in Belgrade has not in the meantime been sent any subsequent official explanation whatsoever. Nevertheless, in diplomatic circles, it is being stressed that "on the European side it is not intended to exaggerate or politicize the whole case", because that would be of little help to the refugees.
