UN CONCERNED OVER EXPULSION OF STAFF BY TALIBAN MILITIA

islamabad, united nations tuesday expressed concern over the last week expulsion of its three staff members by taliban militia from southern afghanistan town of kandahar. a un statement issued in islamabad said the expulsion order was not transmitted by thorough channels of "taliban movement's ministry of foreign affairs." united nations have not recognized the taliban administration as legitimate afghan government. the governor of kandhar expelled on september 24 three united nations officials who resented their woman colleague being put in behind the screen. the un statement said taliban administration in kandhar had not made any request before the meeting for keeping the female staffer behind the screen. taliban militia which has banned women from attending their offices in the areas they control, six days after the kandhar incident, the taliban authorities briefly detained european union commissioner for human rights, emma bonino in kabul because cameramen in her team photographed her visit to a women ho
