Conference entitled "The Afghan Women's Society: The Unending Appeal"

At this critical point in time when the tragic war continues to mount countless casualties on Afghans, we must turn and adress the plight of the Afghan women, who for decades continue to bear the burden of unthinkable miseries.

The Women's Consultative Council of the University of Balkl in collaboration with the Afghan Association of Women while declaring solidarity with women of the world and supporting the dedication of 8 March 1998 to the women of Afghanistan, particularly women of Kabul, will convene a conference entitled "The afgan Women's Society: The Unending Appeal" on Saturday and Sunday, March 7/8, 1998 in the Balkh University Hall in the City of Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan.

We call upon all Afghan and non Afghan women to attend this conference. Let us be free from our suffering and struggle toward our human rights.
