THE SHOWING OF THE DEATH PENALTIES BY TV CONTRADICTS TO THE AIMS PROCLAIMED BY THE STATES OSCE-MEMBERS AND VIOLATES THE OBLIGATIONS ADOPTED BY KAZAKHSTAN AS A MEMBER OF THIS ORGANISATION. That is said in the statement 'The Abuse of the Freedom of Press' adopted by the Protection of Glasnost Foundation and Kazakhstan American Bureau on Human Rights and Observance of Laws on November 13. The reason of the adoption of the document were the demonstrations of the films of shot down the men sentenced to the death penalty by Kazakhstan TV on May 15 and September 25, 1995. As is said in the statement the filming was organised by Kazakhstan Ministry of Internal Affairs. The filming was approved by the Office of Nursultan Nazarbaev, the President of Kazakhstan, and the General Prosecutor's Office. (The complete text of the statement see in the Appendix.)
