DONETSK (A.Bukalov) 21 death sentences were handed down by judges of Donetsk region this year, according to Judge Valentina Lisovaya of the Donetsk regional court. She was speaking at a conference on the struggle against crime, held at the Donetsk regional administration on 2 December. This figure compared with 30 death sentences handed down last year. Participants in the conference also reported that 17 executions were carried out in the region last year. So far this year 27 people have been executed.
