Italian politician sends hashish to media organization
Rome, Oct 30 (AFP) - An Italian radical politician arrested last weekend for distributing hashish to passers-by in Rome, went a puff further Thursday sending packages of the drug to several media organizations.
The Rome bureau of Agence France-Presse received one of the packages from Marco Pannella, a former Euro-MP and a member of the Italian Reformist Movement which favors the legalization of cannabis.
The package contained a plastic sachet with one gram of hashish and a notice advising that the drug be consumed by adults and warning against smoking it and driving or using it during pregnancy.
Pannella was placed under house arrest last Saturday for handing out packet of hashish in one of the busiest streets in the capital. He was released on Tuesday.
